Why a Youth Summit in 2010?

At its outset, the Youth Summit of 2005 aimed to bring young adults together for a time of renewal in preparation for the 2008 International Eucharistic Congress. Happy to be together and witness to their faith, those young people wanted the Youth Summit to be continued. Their wish was fulfilled.

Theme

In continuation of the 2009 mission-themed Youth Summit, the 2010 edition will continue exploring the vital relationship between the Eucharist and mission. This year's theme: Sent! will bring us to reflect upon our own personal role as missionaries in today's Church, particularly amidst other young adults.

Location

For the first time ever, the Youth Summit will be crossing the bridge from Quebec to Ontario, to Canada's capital city, Ottawa, by the invitation of Archbishop Prendergast. What better place to be "Sent" to, to be testimonies of our faith to the nation!
